Controlled water & dye testing
Suitable controlled testing can help investigate leaks associated with fittings, wastes and water use.
Reproduce a relevant condition
A leak that appears only during use may call for a carefully controlled check of a particular fitting or route. Where appropriate, a suitable dye can help distinguish water from the area being tested.
Avoid creating a new problem
Test selection and water quantities need to respect the building and the condition of the affected area. Adding more water is not an appropriate general response to an active leak or unstable ceiling.
Interpret both positive and negative results
A visible result may connect the tested route to the symptom. No result during one short check does not rule out an intermittent problem under different conditions.

happening at home.
A damp patch. A moving meter. A boiler that keeps losing pressure. You don’t need to know where the leak is to make an enquiry.
