What is included in the cost of leak detection?
Compare the work included in a quotation, not just the headline figure. Investigation, access and repair can be priced as very different scopes.
Ask where the quotation stops
An investigation-only service may end with findings and a suggested access location. Another quote may include opening the surface, repairing pipework and testing. Neither description should be assumed from the words “leak detection” alone.
Our residential package
Find My Leak’s agreed residential package is £1,600 including applicable tax. The £100 deposit is part of that total, leaving £1,500. Investigation, specialist detection, tracing, necessary access or excavation, plumbing repair, parts, materials, testing and a Trace & Access report are included.
Understand what is excluded
Decorative and remedial reinstatement are excluded. That can include drying, plastering, redecorating and replacement surface finishes. Commercial work requires its own quotation. Any work outside the agreed scope needs to be addressed before it is undertaken.
Ask about time and aftercare
There is no extra hourly surcharge simply because the agreed residential job takes longer. The work carries a 12-month workmanship warranty. Confirm the practical booking, payment and warranty arrangements before paying.

happening at home.
A damp patch. A moving meter. A boiler that keeps losing pressure. You don’t need to know where the leak is to make an enquiry.
